CME has successfully concluded its third annual Green Week, held simultaneously across all six countries where the company operates. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the ongoing climate crisis and to encourage more sustainable lifestyles among viewers, employees, and business partners.
Throughout the first week of June, CME’s stations and its digital platforms featured content focused on key environmental topics: transport, recycling, food, energy, biodiversity, water and good examples. As a result, CME reached nearly 24 million viewers, including 8 million during primetime news and 3.5 million on social media. Altogether, 505 posts and 174 articles were published within one week.
This year’s Green Week also marked significant progress in stakeholder engagement. CME established green partnerships with 26 business partners, while 34 non-governmental organizations actively contributed to the campaign.
“We leveraged all our communication channels to highlight the topics most closely associated with climate change. In addition, each country also hosted a variety of internal activities in which more than 1500 employees participated. It was not only impactful, but also a genuinely enjoyable experience for our teams,” said Aneta Kožuszniková, CME’s Green Week Project Manager.
As an industry leader, CME realizes its responsibility to drive positive change through meaningful storytelling and broad public reach. Green Week, a part of CME’s ESG strategy named CME Cares, stands as a testament to how media can play a vital role in promoting environmental awareness and inspiring more sustainable choices across society.
