Central European Media Enterprises (CME) is proud to announce the launch of its News Masterclass, a transformative 12-month initiative designed to enhance the next generation of newsroom leaders across its Central and Eastern European operations. The program, which began this summer and runs through June 2026, brings together 46 key editorial talents from across CME’s stations to strengthen leadership, editorial excellence, and AI innovation capabilities.
In response to the rapidly changing media landscape, the News Masterclass addresses critical challenges such as technological disruption, audience fragmentation, and the need for resilient, future-ready leadership. The program is structured around three core learning tracks - Leadership Development, Editorial Excellence, and AI Innovation - delivered through a blend of in-person workshops, online sessions, and personalized coaching.
Workshops are hosted across six European cities including Prague, Bucharest, Bratislava, Ljubljana, Sofia, and Zagreb, ensuring regional representation and accessibility. Participants were selected through a rigorous nomination and assessment process.
“This program is a strategic investment in our people and editorial future,” said Vladimír Mužík, CME Head of News & Current Affairs Strategy. “By equipping our newsroom leaders with the skills, mindset, and tools to address constant change and drive innovation, we’re reinforcing our commitment to editorial excellence and organizational readiness.”
The News Masterclass is part of CME’s broader commitment to talent development, newsroom transformation, and cross-market collaboration. With strong endorsement from senior leadership and measurable success metrics in place, the program is set to become a cornerstone of CME’s journalistic excellence.
